As America’s first oven bake clay, Original Sculpey® has been in the hands of kids, parents and teachers for generations. Original Sculpey® is soft and pliable, and it works and feels like ceramic clay but will not dry out when exposed to air. After baking, it can be sanded, drilled, carved and painted with water-based acrylic paints or Sculpey® Glaze. After coating with a few layers of the glaze, you can use any paint you like to finish your piece. There are endless possibilities when creating with Sculpey®. In the classroom – Original Sculpey® oven bake clay offers an inexpensive way to let children explore their creativity.

Baking Instructions
Bake Original Sculpey® at 275 degrees Fahrenheit. It cures best at 15 minutes for every 1/4 inch thickness of uncured clay.
If you are making a large or thick creation, use aluminum foil as an armature under the clay. Original Sculpey® works great for kids' crafts, as it is easy to shape and form and takes acrylic paints very well. Fortunately, you won't need an expensive kiln to bake your polymer clay creations — your very own home oven will work just fine
